   How is the focal length that small?
   Did you use a macro lens?

   Mike: Yes, it was taken with a Nikon D70 with a Nikkor 105mm macro at f/11 using the built-in flash.  The camera doesn’t know how close the lens was, but it was close enough to produce a close to life-size image if it was using 35mm slide film.
