Just a note on fish tanks, A rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per gallon. Add circulation/aeration it goes to 2 inches of fish per gallon. Add filtration it goes up to 3 inches of fish per gallon. No need to include the tails when counting inches of fish.
For best filtration use an under gravel filter with 1/2 pound of gravel per gallon of tank. (my personal opinion and experience.)
