Dr Pepper recipe found in antique store?
Guy finds a ledger that may well be from the original drug store where Dr Pepper was invented. Greg Artkop, a spokesman for Dr Pepper, said it isn’t the recipe for the famous soft drink and stated that the drink’s 23-flavor blend is a closely guarded secret, known only by three Dr Pepper employees.
How much you wanna bet those three aren’t allowed to travel anywhere together?

Tassimo brewer by Braun
Like millions of people around the world, I start my day off with at least one cup of coffee. For years, I used a typical ground coffee brewer, but was never truly happy with it. After seeing a friend’s Tassimo, and hearing his and his wife’s glowing review of it, I decided to get one myself and give it a try. That was a few years ago, and I think I’m finally ready to give it a proper review.

Hangover helpers from around the world

Bloody Mary turns 75
The drink was supposedly born in NYC 75 years ago today. Like the Caesar salad, it’s origins are disputed. Like the Caesar salad, I don’t care where it came from, I’m just glad it’s around.
Guide to drinking absinthe
One of these days I’ll get around to trying it. (via)
Legal absinthe coming to the U.S.
Someone got absinthe approved by the ATF for the first time in 95 years by bringing the levels of thujone down. Will be available in NYC by the end of May. The Times writer, Brendan I. Koerner, who sampled some while watching basketball said:
And the buzz has an odd way of focusing the mind — I’ve rarely been so entranced by the swish of a basketball net.
Hmm…may have to try some.
